Rigging Inspections & Surveys
We offer a range of options for rigging surveys including annual inspections, pre-purchase rig inspections, and full USCG accepted reports. All of our inspections include a full report outlining the condition of all sailing related systems on your boat including standing rigging, running rigging, lifelines, sails, winches, clutches, etc. All inspections also include annotated pictures for your records. We even offer scheduled inspection program to make sure your vessel is always ready to sail.
Standing Rigging Replacement
Zern Rigging specializes in the inspection, measuring, repair, and full duplication of standing rigging. We've been swaging and duplicating standing rigging in house since 2014. We only use the highest quality swage terminals and Korean 316SS wire. Our standing rigging options include 1x19, rod rigging, and synthetic rigging. We also often swage custom projects for customers including sportfish outrigger supports, barge docking bridals, winch assemblies, and more.
Running rigging
Running rigging refers to the movable lines and ropes that control the sails including halyards, sheets, and control lines. The running rigging is critical to the performance of the sailboat, as it allows sailors to control the angle and shape of the sails and optimize their performance for different wind conditions. With well-designed and properly maintained running rigging sailors can enjoy responsive and efficient sail handling, making their time on the water safer and more enjoyable.
Furling Systems
We specialize in installing and servicing a variety of sail handling systems including Harken, Schaefer, Profurl, Facnor, Furlex, Hood, and CDI. We work closely with al of these manufacturers and can provide service to optimize your furling and prolong the life of your furling system.
Commissioning and Decommissioning of Yachts
Our commissioning service ranges from a basic mast-stepping service to full white glove boat preparation. We frequently work with brokers, new boat owners, and boat manufacturers to ensure boats are transported and rigged properly. Whether it's a dinghy or yacht, Zern has you covered.
Mast Repair and Replacement
Our experienced riggers have the expertise and equipment needed to safely remove and replace masts, or to repair them on-site if possible.
